01. Can we get tourist visa in Kathmandu airport?
-Yes, you can get tourist visa at immigration office in Kathmandu airport on arrival. Visa form will be distributed by air hostess in plane while you will be flying to Kathmandu. Tourist visa fees: Nepal entry visa 25 dollars or equivalent foreign currency for 15 days, 40 dollars or equivalent foreign currency for 30 days. You should have 2 passport size photos and minimum 6 months valid passport. Or you can apply Nepal tourist visa in your home country at office of Nepalese Consulate Embassy before your arrival in Nepal.

02. Can we pay visa fee in Euro or we must bring dollar?
-It’s not a big problem. Even you can bring euro, they will change you to make dollar rate.

03. How can we meet in Kathmandu Airport?
-Our company representative will be displaying our board “Altitude RandonnéeTrekking Pvt. Ltd” short logo as ART  or he will be displaying  your names on white print  paper outside of terminal gate who will welcome you at airport and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. In case, if you got flight delay, you should inform by mail: either calling or doing text in our mobile: +977 9851054734 or you can take yourself a taxi to hotel. It cost 7-10 $ only.

04. Is there facility of internet at hotel in Kathmandu?
-Yes, you will get free internet service wifi at hotel in Kathmandu.

05. Is there laundry service at hotel in Kathmandu?
-Yes, you will have to pay for laundry service per kg. in local rate.

06. Can we leave the unnecessary things for the trek at your office?
-Yes, either you can leave at our office or at hotel in store. They will give you claim ticket. You should not loose the ticket to reclaim after your trek.

07. What equipment should we bring for trekking/peak climbing & expedition?
-You can visit our web site  link ” Check List ”  for the information regarding gears, equipment & cloths. Or you can ask in mail.

08.Can we buy trekking cloths, gears and equipment in Kathmandu?
-Yes, you can buy all in Kathmandu in the trekking shops or boutiques of Thamel which will be cheaper than in your country. But we suggest you to bring your own usual gears, equipment and cloths from your home country. It will be easy and comfortable to use and wear.

09. Are there electricity facilities to charge our digital camera and batteries during the trek?
-Yes, there are electricity facilities in trekkers’ lodge/hotel in the trekking regions like Langtang, Everest and Annapurna. They have solar power or mini hydro electricity center. We request you to bring your adapters.

10. Are there any communication services like internet, international telephone calls etc. during the trek?
-Yes, there are internet services in few places but it can be often disconnected in mountain region. You can get international telephone service in some lodges/hotels during the trek. But service charge is so expensive per minute. At this time, most of the places cover mobile network connection. Our staffs will carry local mobile phones. They give us trek updates time to time. We suggest you to bring your own satellite phone from your country for the effective and clear communication if you are going to do high pass treks more than 5500m or peak climbing more than 6000m. Or you just let us know we can arrange here our self.

11. Can we use credit cards during the trek?
-No, it’s not possible to use any kinds of credit cards during the trek. So, we suggest for our clients to carry cash in Nepali rupees for the personal expenses.

12. Can we change Euros or Dollars during the trek?
-Yes, some lodge or hotel owners can change Euros or Dollars but exchange rate will be lower than in Kathmandu. Our guide will assist you to change Nepali rupees if you need.

13. How much money in average do we need for personal expenses per day?
-In cities like Pokhara or Kathmandu, your personal expenses will be around 18 Dollars or 15 Euros including  mineral waters, cold drinks, lunch and dinner. But you will have ideas to economize your budget. It depends how much you spend per day.

14. Do you have references of your previous clients who had already done the treks with your agency?
-Yes, you can read the testimonials of our clients in our web site. If you want, we can send the names, email and telephone contacts of our clients. You can talk with them. You can get more information regarding our quality service and professional team.

15. What about the expected temperature and weather in mountains?
-According to weather, the best seasons for the trekking are: Spring Season (March, April & May) & Autumn Season (September, October & November). Normally, temperature is mild in sunny days (15 degree Celsius to 20 degree Celsius); it will be colder in the night (0 degree Celsius to -10 degree Celsius) in high passes above 4000m.

16. What will be done if we suffer from acute mountain sickness or any kind of other accident?
-Concerning acute mountain sickness, our trekking guide will give you advice to take some diamox and he uses first aid. If you become more serious, you will descend down 300m to 500m and you will be transferred to a clinic where you can consult with a mountain doctor. In case of not having better improvement and hyper, we use oxyzen chamber . Then, for other bad accident, at your request, you will be immediately taken down by helicopter to Kathmandu for the better treatment and rest.

17. How much we should give the tips for Nepali staffs at the end of trek? Can you give us some ideas? Can we give them in euro or dollar?
-Tips is not mandatory and obligatory things just it is a custom of trekking since 1950 in Nepal to give thanks for the staffs at the end. So, we can’t say you exactly this much tips. But I give you minimum ideas, you can calculate one day’s salary in a week. Also, you can give the cloths and some thing as tips. If you give them tips in Nepali rupees, more better. If not you can give them tips in euro or dollar too. Our guide or company can help them for the exchange in Nepali rupees.
