Dhampus Peak Climbing

Dhampus Peak is known as also Thapa Peak in Dhaulagiri region. According to climbing grade, this peak is easy and non technical one. Normally, the climbers who can adapt the altitude more than 5500m, they can easily climb this peak. To climb this peak, the climbers can follow two trekking routes such as Dhaulagiri circuit after crossing French Pass or directly from Marpha to Hidden Valley who have short period for this project.

Dhaulagiri circuit trek offers the less touristic and wild  trekking route of  Dhaulagiri region, natural diversities, wide varieties of vegetation including immense rhododendron blooming flowers in spring season, different wild animals, massive French Pass, spectacular views of  Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range, cultural exploration of ethnic Magar and Thakali etc.

Though, we should not reach in high altitude during the pass, ice and snow covered trails make difficult and challenging for this trek. From  Italian Base Camp until you arrive in Yak Kharka, we should make super attention in windy and snowy weather for stone falling from the steep, land slide, avalanche, crevasse  etc. If  densely snow falls  in  Hidden Valley, it can be the most difficult to move from there according to slope geographic figure. From Hidden Valley trek goes a head to Dhampus Peak Base camp. Then next early morning summit to this peak and come down to Base Camp.

We kindly suggest for all the trekkers to take experience staffs who can find the exact trekking and climbing trails because it can be changed in every season due to weather condition according to our experience successfully organizing this trek two times for our French clients in autumn season 2013 and in autumn season 2014.
